Completely formulate integrated methods
After managing the relationship with our partners at Visit Allen for over a year and a half I was so excited to visit the place that I had helped encourage others to meet in and visit. It was a new experience to know a city like the back of my hand while experiencing it in real life for the first time.
The biggest take away from our week? Shaking up the routine by getting in market with your client is the best way to get everyone in a new, fresh headspace. That is why the Destination Innovate Think Week was created. As our Co-Founder and Chief Experience Officer, Kristen Cruz, says “When space is made to come together, get creative, and share ideas, we ALL win.”
Conversation, Collaboration and Inspiration – the end goals of any Think Week. With Visit Allen there was a specific focus on strategy that has carried on through any conversation we’ve had since our week together. We discovered new motivations organically through Unveiling Blindspots in old ideas, Charting Breakthroughs that were prompted by frank discussion and Transcending Boundaries which were reframed after new objectives were established.
If that sounds amazing, but also like A LOT, you’re right. It takes immense focus from everyone involved including stakeholders that were invited to take part. From my perspective, new paths were forged that I didn’t even know were possible until we were all in a room together. Based on the Visit Allen team’s feedback they felt the same way and are planning on more frequent, shorter meetings. Like another Destination Innovate offering – the single day Think Break.
If you’re intrigued, but not ready to jump into a whole week The Think Break is for you. Designed to recognize that ideas have personalities, The Think Break brings them to life in three forms: Transformation, Amplification and Innovation. At a recent Think Break with Visit Mesa, the here are the ideas that became clear:
Transformation: Evolve what already exists, pushing boundaries and reimagine possibilities
Amplification: Take small ideas and magnify them for greater impact, building momentum.
Innovation: Introduce entirely new concepts that break the mold.
From here Destination Innovate was able to craft take aways and options for a path forward that the Visit Mesa’s team can use as a framework.
Is it time to bring your ideas to life? Schedule time with Jenn and Kristen to find out if a Think Break or a Think Week is right for you and your team!
